Dutch Bros UX Research and Redesign

A medium-sized coffee company, Dutch Bros, needed a fresh redesign for its website due to accessibility and traffic concerns. Working with the brand's existing assets and identity, I created final mockups for mobile, tablet, and desktop. These mockups were based on persona creation research, user interviews, and thorough website testing

3 mobile mockups of the Dutch Bros User Interface.

My Process

Step 1

Surveys were conducted on demographics and psychographics, based on that information two personas were created.

Step 2

Individual heuristic evaluation on the website, gathering data about home page usability, navigation and information architecture, trust and credibility, writing and content quality, and page layout and visual design. This totaled 123 guidelines being evaluated against the Dutch Bros website, which included thorough comments for guidelines less than fully compliant.

Step 3

Creating and conducting a usability test on the website, our team of three conducted a total of 4 scenarios on 2 people each, where we gathered information such as success, failures, the path taken, and all thoughts and comments from the user

Step 4

Through user testing, I found issues within the home page, navigation, menu, shop page, and page layout that made it difficult for customers to get the information they needed.
